Born in 1967, he heads the Programming and Dramaturgy department at the Heidelberger Frühling festival.
After studying music in Cologne and London, he worked as an orchestral musician for ten years before joining the Munich record label ECM Records as a press officer. This was followed by positions at Sony Classical International and as a concert planner for the Munich Chamber Orchestra. In 2018, he became the Artistic Director of the Niedersächsische Musiktage.
He is also active as a writer, contributing to various projects, including the widely acclaimed piano podcast by „Bayerischer Rundfunk“ with pianist Igor Levit.
